Pastor Larry Williams 1948 – 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Pastor Larry Williams, who went to be with his Heavenly Father on February 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Pastor Larry faithfully served as pastor of Berea Baptist Church and as chaplain at the Yellowstone County Detention Facility, where his ministry touched countless lives with compassion, wisdom, and unwavering faith. He took the greatest pride in serving people and sharing the love of Christ, remaining joyful and hopeful even in his final days. He often expressed his anticipation of hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21).

Larry is survived by his wife, Vickie; his daughters Cindy (Jeff) Kern, Rebecca (Ben) Ostermiller, and Amie Williams; his grandchildren Kady (Joey), Zack, Lukas (Chelsey), Gabbie (Parsa), Emaliegh, Tyler, Aubreahna, Tucker, and Jentry; four great-grandchildren, Jesyka, Olyvia, Bransyn, and Blayke; three step-grandchildren, Kylie, Katie, and Madison; and two step-great-grandchildren, Mila and Summer; his brothers Jim (LeeAnn) and Jerry (Pat); his sister Jean; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Faith E Church, 3145 Sweet Water Drive, Billings, Montana. The service will include a time to share memories, followed by a light lunch where attendees are invited to bring and share their favorite dad jokes in honor of Pastor Larry’s joyful spirit.

Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are encouraged to the Bible fund at Berea Baptist Church (7715 12 Mile Rd, Shepherd, MT 59079) or online at Berea Bible Ministy.
